The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment took a break from their regular ceremonial duties to have some fun in the sun with their four legged companions.
But the trip also serves an important purpose; it’s their annual Regimental Training Camp, where the riders are given the chance to practice equestrian and military skill, and improve their bond with the horses.
In total 133 horses and 250 men have relocated from central London to Bodney Camp for two weeks.
The beach ride is the highlight of the trip, and a unique chance for the horses to dip their hooves into the sea.
It’s been a busy year so far for the Life Guards and the Blues and Royals.
