Disadvantaged Children Helped A Mini Pony See The World In A Whole New Way

Ebony Horse Club in Brixton, South London, is a place where disadvantaged youth can go to learn not only how to ride a horse, but also valuable life skills. It’s a constant oasis where they can retreat when the rest of the world isn’t as nice or stable.

One of the projects that the children undertook recently was an ultimate exercise in creative thinking…
Pedro, the little Shetland pony on the right, is the newest addition to the Ebony Horse Club family.

Pedro1

Unfortunately, though, because he’s so short, he can’t see over the regular stable doors.
The children wanted to make him feel like he was just as much of a family member as the rest of the bunch…

Pedro2

So they all came up with different ideas to help Pedro see over his stall door.

Pedro3

Ideas ranged from a hot air balloon to high heels, but the winning idea was…
…The Pedroscope!

Pedro4

It’s only a short-term solution until the horse club can raise enough money to purchase the little horse his own miniature stall…

Pedro5

But it’s a wonderful way to help Pedro in the meantime.
